Being isolated like that can be wonderful for a few days, but as it lasts longer it wears on the soul, especially when you can't even be outdoors for to play in the snow. May the weather gods smile on your land soon.
We had about an inch and a half of snow last night. No big deal. But since then, the temperature has dropped and the wind has greatly increased. Current temperature here is 5°F, with the feels like temperature of -18°F. Even though I was bundled up, I got cold just going out to fill up the bird feeders at about 2 PM. Normally, I don’t do that until 5 PM or so, but the birds seem particularly hungry today and had emptied them early.
